The river happens to be the site of a stark break in the fabric of the city, economicly and population culture wise.  This farm looks to unite neighborhoods divided as much by the socioeconomic partition as by the river.  It also looks to engage both neighorhoods with the river and the exisiting schuylkill river trail itself.

The Centrel design idea is to link the process of crop (plants) rotation to the program through building a systematic grid in which the progromatic spaces rotate threw. Crop rotation is a systematic approach to deciding which crop to plant where in a garden or plot of land, from one year to the next. It is the system of varying successive crops in a definite order on the same ground That leads to its succes. The successive planting of different crops on the same land improve’s soil fertility and help control insects and diseases

The process and formula of crop Rotation informs the programatic spaces and their use.
